The Disabilities Board of Charleston County (DBCC) is the leading provider in Charleston County for services and support for eligible children and adults through the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (SCDDSN).

We offer case management, a developmental child care center, adult day programs, and residential support to individuals with severe, lifelong disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities, autism, traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries.

Our extensive services and support may be provided both in the home of the person with disabilities and in dozens of facilities throughout the county and neighboring counties. We serve nearly 1,500 individuals and have approximately 400 employees.
